Initial contacts in February 2024 gave rise to an informal network with the following

The network is to be further expanded over the coming years
In all European countries visited by Goethe, institutions and organisations are approached to become members of the association. Potential members will be invited by the Executive Board or can apply to join the association themselves. The first membership fee will be due from January 2025.

First General Assembly of the international association European Goethe Ways
The vice president of the association, Hannes Höfer, was delighted: ‘The first general meeting of the “European Goethe Ways” association not only reaffirmed our common goals but also showed that our network is growing – we warmly welcome the new members and look forward to future cooperation and many projects in the footsteps of Goethe in Europe.’
